Hello,
I would like to update you all on some recent changes in the group. Your founder deactivated her account. If anyone knows her personally, be sure to wish her well. In the meantime, she did not transfer the ownership of the group to anyone else, and so we were in a bit of limbo. A ticket was opened with the dA help desk, and the admins of this group were asked to vote on a new founder. The end result of that process was that I have been made the new founder. (I do appreciate the support of my fellow admins.) Anyway, I made a few changes, mostly to help curb the submission expirations that have been happening (all I did was increase the submission voting time to a month.) I won't promise that submission vote time will be quicker, but hopefully we will at least get to it before they expire. I am, of course, available to listen to any suggestions you may have for improvements in the group. I'm not a huge contest or prompt guy, but anyone who is willing to run such events for this group, please let me know and I will consider adding you to the administration here. If there are any problems with the group, please note the group or me and we'll take care of it as soon as we can.
I would also like to say this: that I believe this group has value. I am admin for other groups that employ various "quality" doctrines towards acceptance of art submissions. While I do think there is a place for that type of selective criteria in a group, I feel we also need groups like this one that let us share our art with the world without any form of extraneous judgement. The only criteria for submission to is that you follow dA guidelines, including marking mature content appropriately, that you give some effort to spelling and punctuation (even that effort is towards intentionally misspelling or mis-punctuating a piece for aesthetic reasons), that you follow our rules for submission limits and for submitting to the correct gallery, and that you treat people here with respect. Simple.
Anyway, that's about it. Have fun.
Shane

The Religious Folder
Hey guys.
As you may have already noticed, I've taken the liberty of adding a Religious Works folder, for those who wish to practice their faith or faiths or discuss them in terms of literature. Due to differing beliefs within the member group, it has received this name so that it remains unbiased. Thus, religious submissions talking about real life religions will be sorted here. The Nonfiction folder will no longer be accepting Religious (or religion critical) works in order to remain objective.
This was added upon request a little while ago, though as you can imagine, this may come across as controversial. I would like to stress that this
